Reminder: Limit One Product
Reminder: Limit One Product
As of March 1, 2026, 54 items are designated as Limit One. To find the most recent list of Limit One products, log in to OPS and follow the steps below:
- Access the Item Coverage Report on OPS.
- In the Product Placement column, type “Limit”.
- The complete list of items that must be limited to one per customer per retail transaction will display. These items will have “RETAIL SALES ARE LIMIT ONE PER PERSON/PER TRANSACTION” listed in the Product Placement column.
Please note the following regarding Limit One products:
- Agencies SHOULD NOT HOLD inventory for any customer.
- Retail/Wholesale ratio of an Agency must be considered. If your Agency is 50% retail and 50% wholesale, then a six-bottle case of Blanton’s shall be divided evenly between wholesale and retail customers. The sales ratio for Agencies varies. Please refer to the Running the Retail Ratio Training Guide in the Training section of OPS to determine how many bottles or cases of an allocated product are to be sold to retail and wholesale customers.
- Wholesale orders MUST be created in the Wholesale Cloud System on the day of delivery to be properly accounted for on OHLQ.com.
- Failing to use good discretion and judgment while releasing or selling highly allocated items will result in a compliance review that may lead to bonus penalties being applied.
- Those Agencies on a PIP are only allowed to sell Limit One items to their assigned wholesale accounts.
- Agencies will continue to receive direct notice if an OHLQ Exclusive barrel product must be limited.
- Agencies that OHLQ has previously approved to hold the allocated product for a single-day release must note that only those items showing the RETAIL SALES ARE LIMIT ONE PER PERSON/PER TRANSACTION product placement can be held for the single-day release. No other items may be held unless OHLQ supplies additional direction.
OHLQ recognizes that some Agencies may experience demand for select items that are not classified as Limit One. Agencies are encouraged to follow best practices when selling high-demand items. If needed, Agencies can limit the sale of items with similar demand to ensure all consumers in Ohio have the best opportunity to buy these products.
